12 september 2014 SCHIEDAM- In Ontmoetingscentrum de 5 Molens aan de Nieuwe Damlaan in Schiedam start de Stichting Olivier in samenwerking met Seniorenwelzijn een Repair Café. Hier kan iedereen terecht met defecte apparatuur als een koffiezetapparaat, stofzuiger, (schemer)lamp, waterkoker enzovoorts. Met de bedoeling deze te repareren.

SCHIEDAM- Het Repair Café Schiedam opent haar deuren voor het eerst in 2018. Deskundige vrijwilligers staan klaar om, kosteloos, spullen te repareren die anders zouden worden weggegooid.Koffiezetapparaten, audio en video apparatuur, stofzuigers, lampen, klokken, maar ook kleding, (kinder)fietsen, rollators, meubels et cetera krijgen mogelijk weer een nieuw leven, waardoor zij niet nodeloos op.
